Musicians Wanted!!
Were you involved at music at Mackenzie?
Are you interested in playing in an alumni band or string ensemble, or singing in
a chorus as part of an Opening Gala Performance at Mackenzie’s 50th Reunion Kick-Off
Program?
Just consider: there is no other activity where we can literally relive an experience
almost exactly as we did 50 years ago.
Nothing evokes our sense of past or life like music, whether playing or listening…
but to sit together on the 'cafetorium' stage (when’s the last time you heard that
word) and play one more time…to shut our eyes and experience the reality of our
youth because we will be stimulating feelings not by imagining, not by remembering
but by being once more exactly who we were!
Even if you haven’t played for a while, don’t worry! The music selected will reflect
the level of the performers; music will be made available well in advance of the
Gala.
